Product Description Dallas Cowboys America's Team by Ed Housewright, with a foreword by Troy Aikman and published by the Associated Press, is a Texas-sized celebration of the most popular team in the NFL. This retrospective of more than 200 photographs are drawn from the voluminous archives of the Associated Press. This is the first time the AP has opened their photo archive for a sports anniversary book through their own imprint. These AP photos capture the panorama, drama and culture of the NFL football in Texas' favorite sport and America's favorite team.

A Must Read for The Cowboys Fan August 15, 2010 Gabriel 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I just recently completed reading Dallas Cowboys: America's Team (Celebrating 50 Years of Championship NFL Football) and very much enjoyed the organization, presentation and illustrated history. As a lifelong Cowboys fan, I'm always interested in reading any book that captures the organization's history, key players, milestones and highlights. I would recommend this book to ALL Cowboys fan, young and old ... a great gift idea.
A must for all Cowboy fans August 13, 2010 Jon 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I thoroughly enjoyed the book, it was both informative and entertaining. Housewright highlights the Cowboy's most memorable moments throughout the past 50 years. From a legendary coach to Super Bowl wins, the book touches the important and the best of America's team. This book is a must have for Cowboy's fans.
A Celebration August 15, 2010 Thomas M. Brooks 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A really enjoyable book, probably of more interest to a Cowboy's fan, than for example a P-burg fan. Housewright's writing style is comfortable, as if he were a friend talking to you over a beer. No one wants to read a book that feels like a musty encyclopedia or a lecture in a crowded classroom.
The pictures are magnificent and the selection of stories and events captures the Celebration, if not every historical event. Like another reviewer, I'd like to have seen more about Tom Landry, but I suspect that was a decision by the editor, not the author. Still, the point of the book isn't to present the complete and unabridged history of the Cowboys, which the other reviewer doesn't seem to understand.
Until my wife hits me with a rolling pin, this book remains on my coffee table.
Loads and loads of info August 15, 2010 Jenna (TX United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Received the book as a gift and think it's great. Hundreds of storys, facts, and pics about my favorite team, the Cowboys. I even remember some of the pics in the book from my childhood and the storys reminded me of players I hadn't thought of in years.
It's sitting on my desk at work and everyone who comes in picks it up and says they want a copy.
I'd like to see a "whatever happended to" book about my favorite Cowboys (coaches and players), especially the ones who stayed out of trouble.
a Life long cowboy fan August 17, 2010 Terry M. Ash 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a great book. I loved all the stories, especially reliving the Cowboys super bowl successes.Loaded with dynamite game action photographs, the book features two of my all-time favorite players. Randy white "the manster" and Bob Lilly "Mr cowboy".I received my copy as a gift but I ordered a copy for my son who is a huge cowboy fan and like father like son "How about them Boys!"
