Product Description One day the sun is shining, the winds are calm, and the water is smooth -- then all of a sudden, a furious storm comes out of nowhere, and the waves break over you and knock you off your feet. Grasping for breath, you struggle to regain your senses. You turn your eyes to heaven in search of help -- but sometimes...you can't see the help, and sometimes...you don't know if you're heard. This book is written by and for storm travelers. This book is about surviving the storm. To help you survive your storm, Jerry Jones freely shares his own hard-earned insights gained from his five-year ordeal of watching his wife die after a valiant struggle with cancer. Other storm travelers also share personal stories of death, terror, divorce, and illness. Together, these Voices from the Storm confirm that you are not alone in your heartache, and their struggles and victories assure you that there is a path that leads to the peaceful shore. After reading the touching stories of these storm survivors, you will find four chapters offering solid, "Assurances from God's Word" that answer some of life's most haunting questions -- Is God really with me? Does God really care? Is there life beyond this one? and Why must we suffer? The pages of this book will fill you with comfort and will empower you with strength and fortitude to survive and move beyond the storm.

| Customer Reviews: If You Only Buy One Book For Yourself This Year, This Is It. June 21, 1998 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Jonesy mixes together a lifetime of highs and lows and shows how, with God's help, we all can make it. I have been reading and listening to the author for many years and find this to be his finest work on the subject of suffering, both physically and mentally. He always, always, gives us a way to make it through. Do yourself a favor and BUY THIS BOOK.
Down to Earth and Heaven sent! September 7, 1998 dhall48@yahoo.com (Illinois USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Before I came across this book I had never heard of the author. Now I want to find out what else he has written! Written about real people who have experienced real loss and pain, this book is not the typical "pie in the sky" approach that many Christian books take. Although your journey of healing and restoration will have to be written by you, this book will give you help and hope that since others have made it "Beyond The Storm", that you can too. A "must" for those experiencing tragic & traumatic events. December 11, 1998 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A book with the ability to give strength and hope to the victim of tragic circumstances. The author, through the relating of real life stories, helps one see the "light at the end of the tunnel" in experiencial situations....not just in intellectual dialogue. Mr. Jones reviews a common conclusion of each of the real life experiences. He draws very helpful and interesting summations. It's "real" help.
As Real As It Gets March 23, 2001 Phil Cox (Lindale, TX USA) Being one of the "storm travelers" in the first half of the book, having close connections to others, and knowing the author personally, I continue to read it because it continues to help. These are real people, all too real crises, and examples of real faith.
Inspirational reading September 16, 2009 G. Phillips (Texas, USA) This is one of my most favorite books. I received this book as a gift after my husband passed unexpently and I felt so lost. I would sit and read Beyond the Storm for hours and a sense of gloom and doom would seem to lift. I purchased this book for a friend when their loved one passed. This is a book I will keep in my collection.
